Healing where it is needed …

Over the years, I have used meditation and regression techniques with many people who want to change their lives, helping many of them alleviate psychological and physical symptoms and to explore further their own spiritual path. The benefits of past life healing therapy, meditation, healing visualization, and yoga have all been extensively documented.

Past life healing therapy offers a unique opportunity to turn your senses inwards and look deep into yourself and heal yourself from the roots.  This insight offers self-discovery and awareness and an opportunity to rid yourself of the repetitive negative patterns from the past that serve us no more.

A past life healing session is an easy, fun-filed, intense, freeing process.

Damian is a qualified past life healing therapist offering one-to-one sessions by appointment only at 250 Queens Road, Leicester.  Please contact Damian on:

Past Life Healing Therapy, yoga and panic attacks

Past Life Healing Therapy tells us that before searching for a cure it is important to look deeply into the root cause of the illness. It is also important to get an idea of how things will be when symptoms have been removed, because otherwise there may be unrealistic expectations about what recovery will be like. For example, eliminating anxiety is not the outcome of treatment for panic attacks; the outcome is the ability to manage and overcome these anxious feelings, emotions and fears.

For example, if group situations tend to trigger panic attacks then this can lead to being afraid of going to public places, self-confidence plummets, fears rise, and opportunities to make friends and form romantic relationships are limited; limited by a heightened sense of wanting to avoid such ‘conflict’ situations.

The precise cause of panic attacks is the subject of much debate in western medicine and is therefore still unknown. Historically, panic attacks have been attributed to over-activity of the nervous system (and, as a result, tranquilisers were often prescribed), but what causes over-activity of the nervous system? Past Life Healing Therapy tells us that the underlying cause is emotional. This can be healed two ways: Firstly, by bringing awareness to these negative thought patterns that are being self-imposed and ‘talking’ to the anxiety when in a situation of fear. Secondly, by going back to the life in which the issue first occurred and confronting the problem and understanding how that is effecting you today.

Once the healing has occurred the fear has been overcome, then self-confidence improves, fearful thinking becomes less, opportunities for relationships increase, and panic ‘triggers’ are reduced and the fear become manageable.

More recently, clinicians have been trying to understand the role of chaotic breathing in panic attacks. Some have even suggested that chaotic breathing is the cause, and not the result, of panic attacks. With this in mind, treatments for panic attacks can now include breath training.

Those who know yoga, pranayama (that is alternate nostril breathing) and mediation will be familiar with working with the breath and the concept of living a life of balance. In this way, such yogic practices can help balance the nervous system and control breath and slow thoughts – all of which help counter anxiety issues. As such, a combination of yoga and Past Life Healing Therapy can help someone overcome anxious feelings, emotions and fears.

The first time I tried Dynamic Meditation

“I never tell people to begin with just sitting. With a mad dance, you begin to be aware of a silent point within you; with sitting silently, you begin to be aware of madness” – Osho.

The first time I tried Dynamic Meditation it was in Mysore, South India. There were about 20 of us. We were all students of B. Nagakumar (pictured below) who runs the Mumuksha Centre for Transformation in Mysore and was accepted into the order of Osho sannyasins. The meditation space was a traditionally constructed large mud hut (also pictured below). No words of ample meaning can describe the powerful experience.

Osho’s Dynamic Meditation is a physical, intense and effective way to balance your emotions and energies. Osho believed that cathartic methods were necessary as it is difficult for modern people to just close their eyes and sit and enter meditation.

There are videos on YouTube you can watch and/or CD’s you can purchase to take you through each of the five stages to this meditation. It can be done alone or in groups. If there are a group of you then you should close your eyes and be oblivious of the others (and keep a safe distance!) The meditation is best done in the early morning.

This meditation lasts one hour and has five stages. Each stage has a different music (except for the 4th stage where you simply observe the silence). The first stage consists of chaotic breathing for ten minutes. This is hard work. Especially if you breath correctly, i.e. with so much energy that the room shakes! In the second stage you vocalise your emotions and go completely insane for ten minutes.  I wonder if by voluntarily losing your mind, it will prevent actual (involuntary) madness later on in life (?).

In the third stage you jump up and down for ten minutes whilst chanting “WHO!” – being careful to keep the legs straight when jumping. The resultant shock waves release energy festering in the hips and help balance emotions. Again this is hard work. Remember it’s a marathon not a sprint so don’t be over enthusiastic (ten minutes can feel like a long time!)

In the fourth stage you freeze where you are and observe the silence for fifteen minutes. After so much physical work it is easier to be a silent observer to your thoughts – to watch them slow down and hopefully catch a glimpse of blissful silence.

In the final stage you dance for fifteen minutes. It’s a welcome and necessary warm-down.

Meditation is the proven way for a person to transform their consciousness and take a truly spiritual path. Nothing else can take you from beyond the day to day thinking mind and into the realm of universal awareness. In the words of Osho:

“No therapy can make anybody enlightened. The best any therapy can do is to remove the barriers to meditation, and then it is up to the grace of Existence to bring about the shift in consciousness called ‘enlightenment’. Most therapies know nothing of mediation or consciousness, they work primarily to restore wounded dysfunctional personalities. Most therapists are not meditators and they know nothing of the vast potential for human awakening.”

How to Approach Past Life Healing Therapy

While many people initially are simply curious about what they might experience, it is important to have a specific issue in mind that you want to resolve during the healing session.   A specific troubling issue or life-long pattern of negative behaviour can be healed in just a few sessions. In so doing, it is necessary to work with each layer of the trauma – in body, mind and spirit- for the healing to be effective.

Each session therefore starts with an issue that the person undergoing the session wishes to address. It is also important to remain open and trust in the process. You will participate in a meditation technique that brings about a heightened state of awareness. You then connect with the life in which the issue originated.
