One lady who came to see me had an issue with her self-confidence in social settings. She didn’t know if it was related or not, but she also had problems forming long-term romantic relationships. At that point, I didn’t know either; the issues could have been related to one another or not. That’s what I like about this healing work. You never know what will come up or to what conclusion your analysis will lead you to.

The self-confidence issue was most apparent when she was in social settings (or in group situations generally). She would feel like she had nothing of value or interest to share with people. She would therefore deflect attention away from herself if asked a question, for example by immediately asking someone else who was present for their view on the matter so as to avoid having to participate further in the discussion.

Further questioning about this issue brought awareness to the fact that this assumption – that she would have nothing to say of interest to anybody else- was not only wrong (how do you ever know what anybody else thinks? And why does it matter?) but self-imposed. As it was it was self-imposed it could be dropped with some self-healing that would take place during the session.

With regard to the problem forming long-term romantic relationships, the issue was not in finding a partner but in holding onto one. Initially, she could not understand why her relationships seemed to fizzle out before long. Further questioning revealed that she was fearful of men getting to know her too well; fearful that she would not live up to her partner’s expectations. Again the issue appeared to be a lack of confidence in herself and applying a set of unhealthy assumptions about what others and (in particular) what men thought of her.

I then started asking questions about when she first could recall feelings of unworthiness/lack of confidence. She noticed the problem about 5 years ago. She had just effectively ended (‘grown apart from’) another relationship. At that time in her life her step-father was dying. He was a father figure to her and she was very fond of him.

I then started exploring her childhood memories and the relationship she had with her real father when she was growing up. During her childhood years (and for most of her adolescent years) her mother was always at risk of dying from a terminal illness. She loved her mother very much. She was also very fond of her father, but she felt like she could never really speak to her father about her emotions and her mother’s illness.

After a while, I explained that a women’s view on men will be influenced by her relationship with her father during childhood (as will a man’s view on women will be influenced by his relationship with his mother during childhood). Further questioning about her connection with her father as a child brought awareness to her rejection of her father / the masculine. This tainted her view on men from an early age and influenced her expectations when in a relationship and, ultimately, left her feeling unworthy and lacking in confidence.

I concluded that this rejection of the masculine energy was the root cause of her current issues. I explained that she would have faced the same issues in her previous life and her previous previous life, etc. This is karma. Our problems are our best teachers in life so we repeat the behaviour (often over countless lives) until we learn the lesson and evolve accordingly. To heal the wound and drop the issue you can go back to the life in which the problem first occurred, take a look, confront and overcome the issue and come back.

I then conducted a meditative trance induction to induce a heightened state of awareness and she went back to the relevant life. In the life where the rejection of the masculine energy first occurred, she never knew her father. In that life, her father had abandoned her mother whilst she was pregnant – the father being a wealthy aristocrat who preferred to run away rather than marry ‘below his class’. In that life, her mother developed a lot of anger towards the absent father and these negative emotions were first felt by her child whilst in the womb. This, then, was the beginning of the rejection of the masculine energy and awareness was brought to this.

The whole life was then explored decade by decade, including the moment of death. The issues that arose in each decade and in the moment of death presented different emotions. The lady undergoing the session could then see how the rejection of the masculine energy affected her throughout that life and how this was affecting her in her present life also. After observing the moment of death- dying consciously- and releasing all the negative emotions that affected her in that life, the healing had occurred in her present life.

The first time I tried Dynamic Meditation

“I never tell people to begin with just sitting. With a mad dance, you begin to be aware of a silent point within you; with sitting silently, you begin to be aware of madness” – Osho.

The first time I tried Dynamic Meditation it was in Mysore, South India. There were about 20 of us. We were all students of B. Nagakumar (pictured below) who runs the Mumuksha Centre for Transformation in Mysore and was accepted into the order of Osho sannyasins. The meditation space was a traditionally constructed large mud hut (also pictured below). No words of ample meaning can describe the powerful experience.

Osho’s Dynamic Meditation is a physical, intense and effective way to balance your emotions and energies. Osho believed that cathartic methods were necessary as it is difficult for modern people to just close their eyes and sit and enter meditation.

There are videos on YouTube you can watch and/or CD’s you can purchase to take you through each of the five stages to this meditation. It can be done alone or in groups. If there are a group of you then you should close your eyes and be oblivious of the others (and keep a safe distance!) The meditation is best done in the early morning.

This meditation lasts one hour and has five stages. Each stage has a different music (except for the 4th stage where you simply observe the silence). The first stage consists of chaotic breathing for ten minutes. This is hard work. Especially if you breath correctly, i.e. with so much energy that the room shakes! In the second stage you vocalise your emotions and go completely insane for ten minutes.  I wonder if by voluntarily losing your mind, it will prevent actual (involuntary) madness later on in life (?).

In the third stage you jump up and down for ten minutes whilst chanting “WHO!” – being careful to keep the legs straight when jumping. The resultant shock waves release energy festering in the hips and help balance emotions. Again this is hard work. Remember it’s a marathon not a sprint so don’t be over enthusiastic (ten minutes can feel like a long time!)

In the fourth stage you freeze where you are and observe the silence for fifteen minutes. After so much physical work it is easier to be a silent observer to your thoughts – to watch them slow down and hopefully catch a glimpse of blissful silence.

In the final stage you dance for fifteen minutes. It’s a welcome and necessary warm-down.

Meditation is the proven way for a person to transform their consciousness and take a truly spiritual path. Nothing else can take you from beyond the day to day thinking mind and into the realm of universal awareness. In the words of Osho:

“No therapy can make anybody enlightened. The best any therapy can do is to remove the barriers to meditation, and then it is up to the grace of Existence to bring about the shift in consciousness called ‘enlightenment’. Most therapies know nothing of mediation or consciousness, they work primarily to restore wounded dysfunctional personalities. Most therapists are not meditators and they know nothing of the vast potential for human awakening.”

What’s your destiny?

Past Life Healing Therapy is a way of accessing ancient memories stored in the physical body (especially the teeth). How will I know if the therapy has really worked?

Until the issue is healed your mind will keep searching for closure on that unfinished business you subconsciously remember and the problem will keep on surfacing again and again, in different guises in your current life.

After experiencing the relevant past life you then need time to understand more how this past life has affected your current life. Your subconscious mind also needs time to process the past life experience. It is best to maintain a period of silence after a one-to-one session for an hour or so. Then sleep on it; anything incomplete during the session will be completed that night during your sleep.

It is also important to remember your dreams that night following the session. Dreams are like messages from your subconscious mind and they reveal significant things. Have a pen and paper ready by your bed and try to write your dreams down before you get out of bed.

Why does stuff get suppressed into the subconscious mind?

This is a result of our negative behavioural patterns imposed by society and developed in childhood and conditioned to the ‘self’- the ego. Our culture, schooling, family relations, religion and work, all effectively teach us to ignore and reject expressions of our natural self. As a child we were raised to be socially acceptable according to perceived standards of the society in which we live. Our natural behaviour is thereby altered and ignored and we grow up disconnected with our true selves. Our true selves are thereby denied and suppressed; banished to a realm of consciousness not easily accessed.

Healing negative behaviour patterns

Negative behaviour patterns (also known as ‘negative conditioning’) may prevent you from strengthening your relationships, having financial security, experiencing confidence, love, happiness, or just feeling and looking good.

Past Life Healing Therapy : guided self-healing

Past Life Healing Therapy is a form of guided self-healing. The body/mind complex is self-healing once the root cause of the illness is ascertained.
